Title: Irredeemable Ant-Man Vol. 1&2
By: Robert Kirkman and Phil Hester
Robert Kirkman takes some time away from his own creations to give Marvel some new life in an otherwise completely underused hero, Ant-Man. It’s fun to see a completely new direction for the character as Kirkman is obviously having a blast writing and manipulating inside the Marvel Universe. Artwork is very serviceable by Phil Hester, and later Cory Walker, both of whom bring a cartoon feel to the books to convey a lightness to the asshole that is Eric O’Grady.
Neither volume make for great comics, but they sure are a pithy romp with an interesting setup. So, if you are one for a shrinky dink escapade penned by the creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible, give these books a read!
Rating: 6/10
